It might not be the best angle, but anybody want to take a shot at sexing this A. geniculate?
Aw, crap. When I arrived home tonight to see the moult had been completed, I noticed that the palps seemed pretty manly. But I've yet to discern tibial hooks, so I tried to maintain some hope.

Sigh. I wonder how much I can get a confirmed female for? I'm not sure I want to play the waiting game again for this species. Guess I'll shop around and see if I can find something that won't break the bank, but I'm thinking that will be a lost cause.

I'll add that HE decided to go hydrate to HIS waterdish, so I retrieved the moult. And got the result I expected, In short, that since I've never attempted to sex with an exuvium it was an exercise in futility.

However, while I was playing around, HE decided to stretch out a bit and by VERY gingerly lifting up HIS enclosure, I was able to look at HIM in profile, focusing on HIS front legs.

After what I saw was revealed, I've decided to drop a few subtle hints in this post in regard to HIS sex.

PS-Don't take my investigation as doubting your assessment, folks. I'd pretty much reached the same conclusion when I noticed the palps, So I decided to clutch at straws. Given that I am a big-time genic fan-boy and that my first attempt turned out to be a female that succumbed to a Tragic Moult, I'm of course disappointed, but it is what it is, part of keeping tarantulas. I do appreciate the input.
