She's an absolute beauty. More golden than my Euoplos variabilis GT. Arrived sans one of her second legs. Scraps with the best of them. My children have dubbed her Wonder Woman.
Let me know how she settles in, Ive had 2 shots at this genus and both times had little success keeping them happy. Really hoping to get it right on my next attempt though
@RezonantVoid, I've had her for a little over two months. She has quite a wide burrow which she created after close to two weeks. Feeds well once a week. Seems settled in with coir peat and spagnum moss. She has used her silk to maintain substrate stability. She comes to the top every now and then (prob when hungry). Beautiful girl. Can be a little feisty.
@Dave1969 awesome, mine made the weirdest burrow Ive ever seen where it pull 2 sides together to close and open it like a purse, but it would always come outside every night and only ate 6 crickets in its entire time in my collection.
The second was Idiosoma Berlandi, and I'm not sure what went wrong with that thing but it just never ate or dug and died mysteriously although in perfect shape
@Dave1969 I reckon I'll get a sling next time.i see one available. This was my longest lived one during a rehouse, looks to be the same species as this one
