@Tiffer2984 No need to apologize! Just giving you a friendly reminder, some people will be pretty harsh about it. Completely understand that you are busy and at work, so again, no need to apolagize.
@Tiffer2984 To me it looks like some type of dermestid beetle larva (possibly Anthrenus verbasci), but I can't say with certainty. That would be a very weird place to find a larva though. These types of beetles and larvae feed on many types of dead organic matter (leather, suede, older book bindings, animal skins, taxidermied animals, pinned insects, etc.) and from what I was able to find they sometimes also eat high protein plant matter (grains, oats, possibly certain clothing and carpeting)
I could be wrong, and I feel bad because this certainly isn't a type of beetle that wouldn't bother someone who's afraid of insects, but that's my best guess. But it might be best to wait on some second opinions
@PidderPeets I have those in my cricket boxes sometimes, they are brilliant at keeping dead crickets under control and therefore help reduce smell. Agree that it's a strange place to find them though
@RezonantVoid They're a tried and true method of dealing with dead matter, so they have their benefits. But they can be rather destructive to material you don't want munched on, so they're considered pests. They're also the reason I'm very adamant against large scale pesticides in the house, because they get attracted to all that death and become a problem themselves.
@Tiffer2984 Don't worry, it's most certainly not a roach. It might be worth keeping an eye on any organic material you have to make sure they aren't damaging any clothing or furniture though
