Housing for Poecilotheria Metallica

hope you like
I'd angle the cork bark and raise the sub up around it mainly for your own benefit, it'll be hard to see the T with it straight up like that. Everything else looks great besides the screen lid. Need to replace that with a piece of acrylic.

@Ghost56 cheers for the advice but it actually really easy to see my T I look through the top and he just chills there right next to the heat mat

@Isahales I keep my T's up on a dresser so I guess I just assume everyone keeps them up high lol, as long as you can see it then that's fine. Like venom said though, ditch the heat pad asap.

@Ghost56 How comes all it does it sit on it as it likes the heat i live in the UK and it gets cold they need to be around 78°-82°F(25.5°-27.8°C) thats why I monitor the temps and control it using that device in the bottom

All my tarantulas have them and I have had 2 of them for 8 years now and they are happy

@Isahales That's the issue, they sit on them till it dries them out. By the time they realize they need water, they're too dehydrated to move. If you're using a thermostat, then it's less of a problem, but still a problem. They also don't have to be kept at those temps, T's are fine anywhere from 68-85 degrees or so.

I should also add that some people would agree that heat pads with a thermostat are ok, but the majority here are going to tell you otherwise.
