Holothele sp. "Dominican Republic" (Hobby Scopelobates sericeus/Holothele sericea)

New suit for this little one.
Just starting to get into spiders and really liking dwarfs, especially Holothele sericea, If there shy do you at least see them when you feed ? Seems like they would come all the way up for the food or do they wait till your gone. Do you know of a good seller to look for one of these?

I see them out pretty often, they just tend to make a mad dash for their webbing/hides when disturbed. Can't help you with sellers as I'm based in the UK.

Do you keep the H. Sericea with another or by itself?. I have various sized enclosures and haven't decided which to house it in. I have a big enclosure a 55 gal. I used to keep a snake in and really want to put him in it but I will have to really limit the hides I'm guessing so I can somewhat keep up with where about he is. I am not sure though since it will be my first spider I might just put in a small enclosure. I found one online here for 60.

By itself, they're not communal.

A 55 gal is far too big for any tarantula (let alone a dwarf species that maxes out at 2-3 inches), this one is in a 4oz condiment cup, my mature male was about 1.5 inches after hooking out and had tons of space in a mini faunarium.
