@Dstnfx I thought wolf spider was just the common name for any member of the family Lycosidae. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Lycosa is a genus WITHIN Lycosidae. And I also think some species of Hogna used to be Lycosa.
Edit: I do not believe this is a North American spider, thus it shouldn't be Hogna carolinensis.
Correct Lycosa is the genus and tarantula is the species. The L. tarantula was once called the tarantula wolf spider, but it’s still falls in the Lycosidae family. The Hogna fall in the Lycosidae family as well.
I believe I’m wrong about this spider as well, but it does resembles a H. carolinensis.
