Hamorii or smithi

Hamorii or smithi

Bought as a B baumgartni sling from an independent trader at BTS in 2018.

Clearly not!

The palps are a bit weird too, virtually no orange in the joints despite them being there previously.

Hamorii or smithi?

Also used the opportunity to show the Spermathecae (see top RHS)
The pattern of coloration looks like B. hamorii to me: Notice how only the the “knees” are vivid orange while the lower leg bands are more white-orange. In B. smithi these bands are generally more red-orange. The carapace is mostly black with a pale orange border, also characteristic of B. hamorii.

I think you will also be able to tell definitively by molt, but I think not until the tarantula is mature, and it has a good deal more growing to do, especially if it is actually B. smithi.

The carapace (Not the best to identify by the way, just a last resource) Doesn't look as pronounced as hamorii

Yeah the carapace is always last resort but I do have several smithi and despite this being the last thing to check, it always seems to be the constant if any doubt.
Some examples below from some of my other Ts.

Maybe after another molt, we could all try again. I am getting to know the more recently available smithi (formerly anitha) myself but I always see much more tan on the carapace vs an all almost dark carapace. Could there be hybrids? We don't know. From the submitted pic i'd assume hamorii.
