Unfortunately, while a rehouse was necessary, they don't cope too well with them and it can take up to a week for them to finally decide to settle down. She has made a starter burrow where I predicted and webbed the enclosure perimeter, but not made any triplines yet

Aw, I hate this stage, it's like they need to sulk for a week before they get settled and down to business.

@Rhino1 yea the funnels and traps are definitely the worst for sulking around with rehouses, especially as they grow older. When I first got her at only 20mm body lenght, she only took 3 days to make a huge tube up the side of her plastic that basically engulfed half of her wood piece. Unfortunately now as seen, she's like a totally different spider

How'd you land this species? I'd love to have one.
    • RezonantVoid
@ZyklonG I live in Australia lol I know a breeder around the Sydney area who goes field collecting and breeding quite a bit

@RezonantVoid Ahhhh, lucky, it seems to be a good place to obtain all of the things I enjoy, bahaha. I'm in the Northern US, so a lot of the finer species are scarce and we virtually have no chance of getting any kind of trapdoor spiders...
