Grammostola porteri

Approximately 3 to 3.5 inches DLS.
Looks like a female
I'm leaning that way as well. Just got her from another owner on Craigslist; I've never owned a rosehair but they were the very first tarantula I handled 19 years ago so I'm glad to finally get one, even if they're arguably the simplest species to keep.

Previous owner claimed she's 2 years old; likely they bought her juvenile from a store though so I'm leaning closer to 3 years. She hasn't molted since last year so I'm suspecting she's near molt time. She's acting very sluggish so I am thinking there's a decent chance she's either sick or premolt. They were keeping her in a 28-gallon Sterilite with a thin (less than one-inch) layer of substrate and a large cedar log hide, so at present, it's really tough to tell. But if she's premolt, hopefully I can get something a little more decisive soon!
