Freshly molted B. smithi sling

Brachys may be slow growers, but I'll be damned if moments like these don't make it worth it...
Nice! One of mine molted yesterday, so I understand. I'm hoping he/she might be big enough now to try and sex. Fingers crossed!
Cool, how many have you got? I'm a bit hesitant to sex "her" ^^. I started the hobby with this little sling and I'm hoping for female way too much. Generally a stupid thing to do, but this T holds a special sentimental value...

Oh yeah I get it. My first sling, a T. albo named "SpiderBro" is female. I haven't confirmed it, as he/she is still young, but I'm willing it to happen lol. Even if he/she turns out male, I'm going to keep him, as he was my first. I have two hamorii's. One is like an inch DLS and the other, the one who molted, is probably 2.5-3" DLS. Neither have a name yet, but I'm working on it. In addition, I have a G. pulchripes, T. epicureanum, C. leetzi, N. sp. "Panama", a WC P. audax, and a B. albiceps. The leetzi's name is "Micron", the albiceps is "Tiny", and the rest don't have names yet. How about you? What's that one's name?

Haha, SpiderBro is one cool name! I got a T. albo sling as a freebie yesterday and it's a feisty little bugger. Definitely going to keep my first T as well. "She" is named Anita, named after the previous sp. name (Brachypelma annitha), as well as my Ex. Hope that doesn't bite me in the a$$, haha. Many of my other Ts have pretty lazy names that closely resemble their species name. A. avicularia is "Avie", B. emilia is literally "Emilia" and Anita follows the same principle. My P. Irminia is "Shadow", C. versicolor is "Fabienne" and my GBB is "Niebieski" (polish for blue). Still looking for a A. geniculata name and trying very hard not to name her "Jenny-culata" ;-)

lol I get the lazy naming. Especially when you don't know if they're male or female yet. Although I gotta say, Jenny isn't a bad name for a genic heheh. I like shadow for an irminia. If I ever get to the experience level to own an H. mac, I'll probably name it Dr. Who, since they can teleport through space and time in half a heartbeat lol.
