Ewl.jpg
After a rough beginning, we have EWLs!
Our female opened the egg sac a few days after laying it. I think she was so thirsty (water dish was buried next to nest she made when she laid eggs) she may have opened sac to eat eggs, or it broke as when I found her she seemed to be trying to move the remaining eggs. I put her water in a different area, and she has been eating a lot. She buried the eggs in a very loose substrate with webbing in it. She laid some thin webbing over the top.

She eats her meals right over the area and leaves pieces of food there. She does not lay on it. Today, I distracted her enough to lift the substrate and found this little egg with legs! Hoping she has a few more in there to raise, she has turned from my gentle giant into a grizzly bear!
