Euoplos regalis lid
A perfect example of why clay is far superior to peat moss/cocofibre for most lid builders. They can make a natural lid that holds moisture and shape properly
I have a cork lid spider and a Cyclocosmia torreya and I plan to provide them with more clay when I rehouse them for just this very reason!

Thank you for being one of those that give their traps correct sub. You have no idea how many people i see complaining about their ones not burrowing or making lids, nearly all of them haven't put even minimal research into their species preferred substrate and terrain

You have a large species of trapdoor native to your state that makes a very similar lid, you should see if you can get a couple of them!
Yea, I have been in hundreds of places where you can order spiders and they are NEVER a avalable anywhere. I tried to dig one up too, me and my bonehead mind forgot to take anything to dig with. And screwed it up by trying to use a stick.
