When people say 'dwarf' and 'Aphonopelma' in the same sentence my mind goes blank. That genus is ever growing and has so many sp. and many dwarfs. I am not familiar with this mini chalcodes. Are you sure it is adult?
If it is adult and that size I can be sure of one thing.. I want one!
Just found this one yesterday. Not from the same area I found the previous one and the indentions on the cephalothorax are different. I did find an adult male dwarf in the superstitions recently but it was much darker and more spindly. I took some pics and left it. This could be A. chalcodes dwarf BUT looks a bit off to me and it is less calm and the hind legs seem longer...
@Ghost56 not really, looks a lot like every female dwarf I have found, except the indentions are deeper, the back legs are longer and the spinnerets seem much longer
Well I haven't received any help in ID'ing this dwarf, but the more I read about current taxonomy it seems that A. superstitionense is the only dwarf I could encounter in the area
