Due time... don't know if it's the correct way

I've been meaning to measure this guy for sometime now just never got around to it. Well here it is.....sorry if the picture isn't the best he started running off right when i went to go take the picture. Hes roughly 5 inches maybe a little bit bigger.That and I'm not sure if this is the correct way
