Aww i am glad! I do plan to get back to the photography side of astronomy, i've been using only my eyes for a while
I just shot some landscape. I did basic astro work last winter, just stars in the sky, nothing special. I might get more into it. I need to shoot in the summer when we the Milky Way can be seen. The deep astro work I have seen from people is impressive too.

I feel bad for going off-topic in the comments of Cand's photo

Photo stacking will open up magic things to your astro-landscape photos. Sequator is one very simple but quite versatile software for that purpose, i reccomend! I would love to see your results in the Astro thread.

For the Noctilucent clouds, it's one of my favorite shots i've ever taken. I was with the right equipment, at the right place, at the right time. It's crazy to think that it was night at that point while it still looks like sunset!
As for the Orion Nebula, it's the right season right now for me to do a re-match and try to top my past photos

Heard of sequator! Didn’t know it was that powerful. Also aware of photo stacking, didn’t realize it was useful for astro work- appreciate the info! I have a Nikon D5500 fits my needs for now.
