Darkling Beetle Pupae

Darkling Beetle Pupae

Does this pupae look ok? Out of all my mealworms, only one pupaed.
Yeah this pupae looks pretty desiccated. I'm thinking that it probably isn't alive. Sorry...
Do you still have any mealworms or was this the last one? Usually things go pretty well for them all on their own, but I've noticed that mealworms seem to have a harder time surviving the pupating process than my other darklings.

Oh good! For my mealworms, I just leave them to their own devices. I seem to have a small amount of adult beetles and a large amount of larval stages in the enclosure at any one time. They don't eat each other as readily as some of the larger darklings so you shouldn't need to separate them either.

@Beedrill Okay! Yeah I have a small container of other ones, so im not worried. I just started a new group to try and get them to adults, so i can feed my vagans on some new critters instead of crickets and mealworms all the time.
