Why no blue? How old?
So, i had this cobalt blue, for 5 months. When i got it, it was nice and blue. But now, i see no blue anymore. Why is that? I dont know male or female, it has not molted or anything. Can you guys see on the picture mabey how old it is by the size?is it to old?And thats why no blue? :)
Kind regards
Males can show blue after mature, too. Not so blue as females, femur mostly, if I remember correctly. Females, will show blue first on their legs, the carapace and abdomen can be brown for a while, not only that, even when they get "all blue", it will faded within time.
I have some pictures of immature male and female, I can send you if you want to.

No such thing as too old. If the tarantula is continually growing, and is confined within the exoskeleton that's no longer an appropriate size, they will begin the molting process. Molting often results in the restoration of the vibrant colors.
