Anyone can advice ? My Brachypelma Vagans just molted and I noticed something is wrong with his 3 legs. They are flat out bent as shown in the attached photo. Is this normal ? Size: 4.5inch male
I don’t really see a problem. If the T is freshly molted its limbs are probably going to look a bit odd and at odd positions. Heck, sometimes I’ve seen freshly molted T’s that had curvy legs! I wouldn’t worry too much and seeing that he’s a mature male he is going to have much more “exaggerated” limbs(i.e. skinnier, each part or segment of the leg is going to be longer and thinner).
@Tarantula Tech He's a mature male that's fresh, which is why his legs are looking flexible, but it will harden up in place in a week or two. And he's not ready to mate yet, until he hardens up from the recent molt and makes a sperm web, which mature males are very secretive on making sperm webs, so keep an eye out for when he does make one or when you find traces of a sperm web which is like a thick webbing or a webbing blanket.
