Yes, species matters very much. So does size. What size are they?
If you can see a flap, then it's female. Males lack spermathecae and a uterus externus.

@VanessaS After the molt I’d say it’s probably about a 2 1/2-2 3/4 DLS

I can clearly make out the uterus externus, you have a female.

@Arachnophoric yay! That’s what I was suspecting and hoping for.
Her mother is gargantuan, hopefully she is too! She’s growing like a weed!
