@RezonantVoid they arenindeed native. There is also the invasive miantis caffra which the male orthodera keep matinf with. The miomantis are much more aggressice and the females consistently eat the males as they try to mate with them. This resulted in concern over the species’ future as the nales seem to be more drawn to a miomantis female than an orthodera female.
