Acanthoscurria geniculata?
Thank you. First time in over 17yrs I've seen anything other than a pink toe at the local pet store. They had it labeled as a white knee but looking at pics it didn't look right. Definitely matches pics of Aphonopelma seemanni.

Idk but will check when I get home from work although I'm already fairly certain Liquidfin was correct and it's a seemanni.

Ended up finally getting it as my first T after watching videos, reading and stalking this forum for months trying to decide what to get. There's just too many cool species out there to choose from so I let the convenience of not having to pay for shipping and the excitement of seeing something other than a pink toe in the flesh decide for me lol.
Bit irresponsible but I knew between google and this site I could find out what species it was so i could provide proper husbandry for it.

Was blown away by the complete ignorance of everyone working at the pet store. Not only was it labeled with an incorrect common name but no one would even get it out of the enclosure, had to do it myself. I didn't mind but if you work somewhere that sells tarantulas you should be able to deal with them.
The kid was so dumb he thought they sting and the spinnerets were stingers!!! Unbelievable
