Freshly moulted H. chilensis

The miracle did happen... it moulted! Unfortunately, it stashed its moult at the far end of its burrow, so, I still don't have a clue if it's a girl or a boy. Maybe it'll bring it out, but I don't get my hopes up. And if it does bring it out, it's probably completely destroyed... like the last time.
Congrats!! :astonished: What a little stunner :embarrassed: One of mine is at 10 months without a molt now, but I’m hopeful the summer heat will change that sometime soonish!

@WolfSoon Phew, I know the feeling... it took mine almost 10 months (291 days to be precise) to moult again. Curiously, its last moult cycle was only 2 months, but the one before that was at least 9 months. :rolleyes:

But what the heck, it was worth the wait! :kiss:

I just ordered one of these last night, it will be here next Tuesday. I haven’t been this pumped in a while about a new T. I put its enclosure together today, like that took a lot.

@Thekla Ooh, maybe if I whisper to mine that yours just completed a molt after 10 months, he/she will get in the spirit too. :p Mine have erratic molt cycles too, which adds some excitement at least! I agree, the long waits are worth it for these cuties. :)

If you can’t get an intact molt, @VanessaS let me know that they’re pretty easy to sex ventrally at small sizes. I’ve just been too lazy to try it with my second one. :embarrassed:

@FrDoc Have fun with it! :D I wish you the best of luck... and patience. :rofl:

@WolfSoon Hey, it's worth a try, isn't it? :rofl:

And thanks, if I don't get its moult, I'll try to get at least a good ventral picture. Hope dies last. ;)
