@VanessaS Oh whoops my bad, i didnt read the post saying it was from California haha. I assumed it was in Arizona. anyway, in that case, could it be Aphonopelma eutylenum?
The answer to @Arthroverts question is important to make a good guess. A. idodius and A. eutylenum can't be told apart based on looks. They do have distinct geographical ranges in California though. I can't make a guess based on a picture and vague location. See Hamilton, et. al. 2016 for a key to the species of Aphonopelma from California.
