Just wondering is this a true Boehmei or Boehmei x Baumgarteni I never got this straight yet, but I see Boehmei’s with full red carapace and then I see some that have the black mask and I did hear once that those are hybrids...
@mosesobe She very well could be a hybrid. Her spermathecae doesn't match boehmei exactly. I would never use carapace colour/markings alone as a definitive way to identify any species, since they can often differ naturally. I refer to her as boehmei because I can't be certain she is a hybrid. I have no intentions of breeding her.
@mosesobe No, not really. If I had to narrow it down, I would say it was closer to boehmei than baumgarteni. The baumgarteni spermathecae is a more unusual shape, even at the small sizes. I have a juvenile female baumgarteni as well and her spermathecae is very unique looking compared to other species.
