@cold blood Thanks!! I'm going to try & get a clearer pic the next time my T is up like this.

I've always assumed he was a male (without any sort of reasoning), but a female would be cool!! (Just based on everything I've read & heard).
 
@Flashback Another option is to put the tarantula into a clear catch cup and then manipulate the catch cup to get the pictures you need. It's how I took ventral sexing pics for my Brachypelma emilia.
