Arbanitis sp. Wooli

Coastal Red Legged trapdoor. Never thought I'd ever find primitives 20m from the shore line but here were 700 or so
So cool! I went to a park today trying to find any sort of spiders but failed miserably:rofl: I’m wondering if Melbourne is just too urbanised or I wasn’t looking hard enough.

@Oompoofishy you'll get some wicked Golden trapdoors down south around there from memory, we have tons of primitives all down the East coast. Unfortunately Autumn winter is not the best time as they start sealing burrows and honestly a golden trapdoor hole is concealed enough without the extra tying down

Lol, Your the only person I know who goes to the beach and comes home with spiders, legend.

@Rhino1 I'm the only I know who is capable as well lol luckily it looks like I'm the only one that knows about them so far, there's no moss damage or dug up holes to indicate people collecting them. Most likely another short range endemic species that needs the springwater. Hopefully my captive setups will do the trick with a 60%:40% sand to cocopeat ratio substrate
