Aphonopelma seemanni Enclosure [1/2]
Does the enclosure work? Yes.
But is this enclosure Ideal? No.
Not to mention there is a lot of height, which can pose a fall hazard. And also A. seemanni likes it a bit of moisture.

If the tarantula is an aphonopelma seemani or costa rican zebra you need more substrate since they’re mostly fossorial. Also enclosure looks too big, maybe something smaller. I velieve they also fare better with damper substrate as well.

Thanks guys! I'll try to find another enclosure that's smaller. Would something like a 5 gallon tank be better then? I also have some peat moss but I haven't put it in yet. If I'm getting a smaller enclosure, I suppose I won't soak it just yet. Would the moss be counted as part of the damper substrate? Should I get coco fibres too?

@3go I would suppose so, as long as it stays compact enough for the T to burrow into. I don’t know if this works but I mixed some peat moss in with some coco fiber for my whispcropions which also burrow and it seems to work well for them.

Duly noted! I'll see if I can find some coco fibre along with a new smaller enclosure.
