I'm new to the hobby and am trying to figure out what your looking for to tell the sex. Could anyone point me in the right direction to go to get some detailed info to learn?
I've searched some threads here but I haven't found exactly what I need.
@Ronald Fults Some species of females have a 'moustache' of contrasting light coloured hairs at the furrow. Some species have a prominent 'lip' where the furrow separates. Males, at a certain size, display a very obvious dark semi-circle of hairs above the furrow, called the epiandrous fusillae, that indicate that they have the specialized spinnerets used to make their sperm web.
In this photo, that dark patch is very obvious and a female of this species, at this size, will have a very obvious moustache of hairs.
It takes time, and looking at dozens of photos, to get familiar with all the species and their particular traits and it is still not 100% accurate and people make incorrect guesses. It boils down to practice.
