When a drink won't do
Well I guess Pinky decided a simple drink wouldn't do and a bath was needed. :)
sitting in water? Very unusual IME. I've never come across this. curious to see what others say....Esp because their lungs are ventral.

@viper69 Not unusual at all. Sometimes I wonder how people think a tarantula is supposed to drink from such a tall water dish. Tarantulas drink by laying flat on a source of water with chelicerae spread. I would bet that the pictured rose hair is thirsty enough to put up with being wet just to get a drink. If water was poured onto the substrate, I also bet it wouldn't bother with climbing in the water dish and instead drink from the ground because it would be easier for it.

@AphonopelmaTX Again, unusual in my experience (IME), that doesn't mean it's not unusual for T behavior ;) I agree with you, regarding tall dishes. I haven't seen it myself. Then again, I always sink my dish into the sub, OR mold my sub, packed down, so the T can walk up if it needs to. I wouldn't reasonably expect a T to find water that is above it per se. It's like expecting someone to see above their natural height I think.
