they are master flickers for sure....just insane about it some times....other times, totally calm...lol
 
@cold blood How big is your female, please? I read that they can easily get to 6", but I would have expected my girl to already be larger. Has she just slowed down, or are they a smaller species?
 
@VanessaS ive heard 6"....mine is just shy of 5"...i got a face full of setae measuring....you are welcome.

But yeah, they grow fast till like 3 or 4 inches, then its long molt cycles smaller gains.
 
@cold blood Oh no! Thank you for checking, though. Yes, my girl is probably 4.5", I have never once been able to measure her exuvia because she damages them, so I guess she is just slowing down.
 
@VanessaS yeah, i thought, i will just open the top and place the ruler....bam, she bolted 3 inches, but left a cloud puff like Wile E. Coyote in her place.

I was curious though, as ive never actually measured her...so i was a little curious.
