Yeah, initially I thought male all the way, then I noticed how big the t is...at that size it could easily be female...by 3" it should be obvious....

What threw me was the pic...for such a small t, it's a pretty zoomed in pic...I wish more vent pics were this good.
 
@cold blood I thought the same thing. When my P. irminia was this size I thought she was male too because iirc the ventral looked very similar to this if not the same. Gave it another inch or so and was seeing spermathecae in the molts.

Prime example of the clarity people should aim for when trying to get sexing images, that way we're not stuck squinting at our screens trying to decipher what we're looking at lol. :rofl:
 
Lil chubby. I’d say pre molt: refusing food and obvious tell-tale signs.

I strive for good pics. My T’s sit next to a window sill. This is just outside lighting with an iPhone 7 with HDR setting on. No fancy editing.
