Used to be known as metallica...recent revisions noted several ts which we seperated into their own species are actually geographical variants of A. avic....these variants still need to be kept seperate, so despite that they are all A. avics, there are now 6 variants...or morphotypes.
@PhilMcWonder Also, no DNA analysis was done on these Avics either. There are some taxonomists that believe in cladistics alone, and others which believe DNA and cladistics is better. In the case of Avics we could use some DNA.
