@Teds ts and Inverts if I could get these I could officially say i have the ultimate trapdoor collection do they periodically come outside or are these the typical pet lids/holes?
Mine are containers of fruit-fly eating dirt, haha. In other words, my specimens are always in their burrows with the lids covering the entrance. I have a hard time catching them eat as well, I’ve only managed to see them use the trapdoors a handful of times, and I’ve only got it on camera once.
@Teds ts and Inverts I understand the feeling very well. I have about 40 trapdoors and burrowing primitives the last time I counted from various genus and to get a viewable feeding from them is near impossible. A camera shot of it happening is even rarer
@RezonantVoid Just how it is sometimes I guess. I will say that the difficulty of seeing them eat makes it so much more thrilling and worthwhile when you do catch a glimpse of it
