First thought is that it looks kina like an albopilosum but seems TOO black and not quite hairy enough?

@Theneil That's just the pic - look at the bark. There's a distinct blue tint to the pic.

B. vagans and B. albopilosum have been hybridized and the offspring of that are all around Europe. Tehre may have been a B. vagans somewhere in the ancestry of this albopilosum, but overall it really mostly looks like an albo.

Oh. i thought that was like a styrofoam background or resin decoration or something didn't realize it was bark.

@Theneil Oh, you could be right of course. I still think the pic has a blue tint, though.

Looks like albopilosum to me! Is it just the picture or is there patches where the substrate scooped away? I think even a tarantula that doesn't dig can still benefit from a few inches of substrate? Could be wrong.
