Our first T, purchased from a pet store and it looks like he may have lost three legs at one point since they seem to be thinner and have no markings :(
But:
It might lose some more if you keep that mesh lid (judging by the pattern in the picture I'm assuming you have one) and maybe too much space between substrate and the top of the enclosure (can't really see it in this picture). A. seemannis are burrowers and need a fair amount of substrate depth. Maybe you could post a picture of the whole enclosure.
yeah, we found out last night that the mesh is a bad idea...he got a foot stuck, I do have the substrate close enough he was able to put one foot on it when he was stuck. I think it's about 4 inches deep, I'll probably go a bit deeper once we get the decorations in there (this is my daughter's Christmas gift so the tank will be a bit empty until Tuesday). We were able to unstick him fairly quickly and my husband is going out to get a piece of plexiglass today to drill some holes in. The terrarium has a sliding lid so should be easy to fit the plexi so it slides as well.
I'm glad to hear you were able to free him quickly and also that you're getting a better lid. And if he was able to reach the ground while being stuck, there's definitely not too much height, but like you said... a bit more substrate doesn't hurt.
