One of only 2-3 species in Australia that has caused human deaths. the Atraxotoxin is 6x more concentrated in the venom of male specimens. Bites from all funnelweb species are treated with the antivenom of A.Robustus.
Fun Fact:
It takes roughly 70 venom milkings to create 1 vial of antivenom and at least 4 of those vials to treat a serious envenomation. The most vials ever required was 12. This is why antivenom stocks in Australia are running very low.
@NYAN haha yea, Australia i belive has the highest, or at least one of the highest number of myglamorph species compared to araneomorph species of any country, im finding out about new ones we have almost every week!
