Antaresia childreni

My newest addition, a Children’s Python ( doesn’t mean for children ) her name is Odessa and she is so gorgeous and such a sweet pea
we have probably the least child-friendly Children's Python in existence lol, try feeding her outside cage or with long tongs as (in the case of every single person i know who owns one, which is alot) they seem to learn to associate anything involving hands with food... im sure some will disagree with me though. but if you can keep em calm, they are absolutely stunning

@RezonantVoid your 100 percent right on removing it to feed i use the same practice for my redtails and have never had any food association issues. I handle mine for about 15 to 30 then place em in a large dark Tupperware (or a giant rubber storage container in my case) with food. Ive found they actually learn to associate the handling as a pre meal treat so they readily come out and behave!
I also only feed prekill as well tho as i feel its less stressful for all involved .
