A Small Snack (♀ Avicularia avicularia 5")

Skyler enjoying a fresh beetle pupa.
That's awesome I never thought of that they move when touched but aren't going to run and hide I have a meal worm colony and that's a good use for some of the pupa

@Jerry Pupae make good feeders for bold slings (I give the timid slings diced mealworms), juveniles, and dwarf tarantulas.

I use the pupae fairly often, because otherwise they just mature into beetles that are good for nothing but breeding.

That awesome I don't know why I didn't think of that such an awesome way to get some good out of them besides breading and making more mealworms

I just got a avic that's about an inch I'll have to see if she likes them

@Jerry Did she like it?

My Avic slings are about the same size (1"), but so far they haven't been terribly interested in the pupae. They're picky eaters. (The only thing they reliably eat is half a mealworm.)

I haven't tried yet she was just fed before I got her and I oddly enough don't have any pupa at the moment but I will as soon as I have the opportunity and I'll let you know how it goes
