You would see it at that size, for sure. Brachy's are less difficult than many other genera to spot at the smaller sizes.

@Theneil You are going to have them around for a long time, still. I got my two boys, as unsexed, 2.5 years ago and they were 3". They have both moulted recently, are now pretty close to being 5" and still not mature. I know of one male who is even larger than mine who isn't mature yet.
I don't mind males. As long as they don't end up looking hybridized, i will try to loan them out or buy a female when the mature and i will enjoy keeping them in the mean time until then. i also have two more that i wasn't able to examine the latest molts from.
