Don't be fooled--the little ostrich egg with legs is as fast as lightning! It was up my arm like an arboreal as soon as I cracked the lid on that horrible little container.
If anybody has any information on this species other than the little bit found on this site, I would sure appreciate it. Clearly, this little person has a very different metabolic reality than Grammostolas, Brachypelmas, Etc.
Question...I'm new to the hobby but I see A LOT of people that have been around it for a while saying "When it ran up my arm....". Is this pretty much an inevitable occurrence if we continue to deal with T's? Lol...seems like a right of passage.
@PeteParker240 yep. You just have to learn to grit your teeth and not panic if you aren't used to having spiders on you. Weirdly, it becomes routine and even a little magical when you have that visceral contact. Generally speaking, if you don't panic, they won't panic. No harm, no foul.
Dang it Dovey...you were suppose to say no,lol. I got my first T because I was semi arachnophobic. Not scared to be around them but somewhat nervous if I think they are on me or about to be. I don't plan on being a person that handles my T's...but I do have to prepare to have them on me from time to time...especially since the last one I got was an Avic versicolor. SUPER HYPER little fella.
