What's the legspan? I'm also leaning towards male if it's like 3" or larger, but if it's small I'd wait a few more molts because I think I might see something.

@PidderPeets The leg span on that molt is 3.5 inches, so pretty close. I agree with you, I will check again on the next few molts

@Chris Parrill Alright, then I'm still leaning male, but another molt or two wouldn't hurt. For the record, the spermathecae in Avics isn't exactly a "flap", but more like two "c"s facing away from each other. This is how they look on a 4.5" female, so if you see anything that resembles this but a bit smaller, that would mean female:

If that's not a female, everything I thought I knew about sexing is very wrong

@PidderPeets Oh wow, I had no idea . I may see something then but it’s still too hard to tell lol! I will definitely keep checking the molts
