The area right above (below in this picture) the furrow is all dark. What I mean, is if there's an area in that dark area that is dark, I can't see it. You might try getting a nice strong flashlight and hitting that area from different light angles to see if it's all uniform or if there's more density in the center just above the furrow.
With that in mind, I'm going with female for the pic. (If it were only me, I'd say in absence of a 100% sex wait for next molt to confirm.)
