I Got this guy from a breeder as a spiderling for free because i bought other Tarantulas. he or she is very skittish and in 3 years he's got 4 inches. also just recently I noticed his back abdomen is pilling off or something is that normal? Please help I.D. and whats going on with the abdomen?
@Robert McLaughlin not in premolt. When it's getting ready to molt the exposed skin will turn dark and shiny and when a molt is imminent it will look black.
@The Grym Reaper yeah wish I had one I ran out of money by the time I could find someone selling them. Trying to find a job but need to get better at interviews haha.

@The Grym Reaper Humm I don't no if he's been kicking hairs he's by himself in a dark area? would he still kick hairs? I do have in the habitat next to him a Mexican Red Knee ? maybe he's kicking hairs at him?
@Robert McLaughlin Yeah, he's just been doing it when you ain't looking, they sometimes just kick them off to make a defensive perimeter, some of my non-kickers will do this a couple of months prior to moulting but you only really know they're close to moulting when the bald patch starts to turn black.
