Caterpillar ID?

Sorry in advance for the poor quality, but all the major identifying factors should be visible. Found this very small (about 1/2 inch) caterpillar in the guard shack at my work, away from all plantlife. I'm struggling to ID it myself, so I thought I'd call out my fellow insect sleuths
I also should mention that the leaf it is on is likely not a host plant, as it didn't eat it. I picked a bunch of leaves from the surrounding area to see what it would take, and it settled on eating a different tree leaf (unfortunately I don't know what type of tree it is)

@CritterKeeper21 After going through a database of many US caterpillar species, I was able to figure out that it's most likely an earlier instar Orgyia leucostigma (white-marked tussock moth). But I'm still very curious about the tree it's eating, as I've only ever seen it at my work. Would you mind if I post a picture of it later when I go to work so perhaps you could help me identify it?
