Brachypelma hamorii
My first tarantula, purchased in March 2016 as a ~3rd instar Mexican redknee. For the past year I had been certain that I had a male B. hamorii, but since their last molt revealed that they are female, I have looked at those vivid colors again and am now thinking they are B. smithi...
@Exoskeleton Invertebrates One more question if I may presume... :shy:

Is it possible to tell whether or not she is a true B. hamorii or a hybrid? I know nothing about her background or even who bred her so I’m thinking that I shouldn’t breed her unless there is a way to tell for sure since hybridization is a known issue in the genus.

In any case I’m happy I got her and started my tarantula addiction! She’s a beauty and always put in the open to be watched and admired!
