A. avicularia “Hobby Lobby” enclosure

Next time you could get away with a bigger door, they don't need that much substrate. An inch will do them fine. They shouldn't spend much time on the substrate at all. But not bad! Let us know how it works. Also, what did you use to glue the hinges on?

What did you use to cut the door out? I have the same display case I just haven't done anything with it yet lol. What size is that one?

@miss moxie That's a good point! I'm not sure entirely why I went with it this way, just "felt" right as I measured it out. haha!

I just used Hot glue... I thought of using aquarium sealant, but I wasn't sure it would hold the acrylics together? Hmm...

@thefatunicorn Ah, since that's the case I'll let you know I just had a problem with hot glue on one of the acrylic terrestrial enclosures I made. The top of the hasp came away from the acrylic. I had to redo it with acrylic cement, and I've also read to scratch up the area before applying glue-- the abrasiveness helps provide a greater bond.

I have a better idea for you next time. Instead of putting holes so far towards the back, don't do that. That way in the future if you want to make the cage for a terrestrial enclosure you can.
