I know this is like asking for the moon sometimes, but can you do closer/ more head on? Taking a picture through a magnifying glass (even with a phone) does wonders to get a better focus on the furrow area.
With that said, it appears male to me at this angle.
The other option is wait for others to hazards a guess.
