Any one know what T this is? U live in southeast Colorado and they are everywhere. Really pretty little guys. This one is a male, and the entire body is about 2 inches long he doesn't take up the entire palm of my hand, but almost. They live in burrows all around a dry creek bed
I am totally new to spider keeping but i have fallen in love with my little guy. He is active and hunts during the day and sleeps at night, and is quick but not particularly aggresive.
What is the DLS.Front right leg to rear left leg.Dont bother or stress him,but just take a ruler and slowly lay it over,NOT ON him.
If he protests, and gets skittish, try after giving him a prey item. And let him settle down.I have two slings, and have been wondering about growth with these Colorado natives. He may not be interested in food,as he is probably seeking a date.
@mack1855 ok hi body is actually one inch long and Dls is 2/12 inches. He is a great eater so far. About a cricket a day. I got him some small roaches today. Well see how he likes them.
@Tanklockhart Definitely a good thing! I regularly feed my T’s crickets and red runner roaches, occasionally other roach species, meal worms and other insects when I can get them.
So, after looking at pictures and reading up on the A. Marxi, or Grand Canyon Black. I'm thinking that's what I've got. Just love him.... now to find a female....
