Found in So. Cal. Please ID

found in So. California by a friend. We would really like to know what it is.
nice photo. it's really helpful if you wan help. it looks to me like an aphonpelma iodius. any other members that agree or disagree with me?

I would say the aphonopelma iodius myself.
The tarantula pictured is a MM.

Most MM Aphono's are normaly A LOT darker, including A. iodius.

He looks rather old and dull as well, so getting a possible ID is almost impossible now.
 
not necessarily because the guy told us that this tarantula was found in california. the two species i gave (iodius seems most probable) are found in cali and they look like it so please read the description before you make moronic statement.

I simply said it was a MM (mature male). No need to explain it. It being caught means that it was most likely wondering around and about, during the breeding season, looking for a female. Yes the species you so believe it to be, is from cali. I never said it was not that species Mich. It is a MM. Meaning it has about 2 years left to live, tops. I've dealt with Aphonos for 11 years, not being a "moron" or anything, just explaining myself based on my observations. Moronic? hah do you google everything to base your answer on.
