this isnt that helpful. getting help comes from both ways. get a picture of the genital region. this between the anterior book lungs and under the pedicle
sorry about that..this is my first trantula..and I am new at it all.
I wasn't aware of how exactly one could tell..for some reason I thought it was having to do with the hooks on the legs, or something.
I can't see how to delete this pic..if a mod would please delete it for me..it would save hassles of others responding to tell me the pic is not help ful..thanks!
ok i understand that, sorry for my rude behaviour. i can explain to you if you want, and i know one or two sites that may help. the one thing is that you were right about the hooks part, but that only shows after the ultimate moult(when the tarantula sexually matures). and males usually have these hooks but if you have a male, then it will die in a pretty fast amount of time. the two most reliable ways are by examining the exuvium(aka the cast skin) and by directly looking at the genital region with a source of magnification.
